Gem of a restaurant! Fantastic breakfast, friendly, prompt service from waitstaff even on a busy Sunday. Some of the best hash browns I've had. However, I was surprised that the chicken tenders were a formed piece of chicken and not a chicken tenderloin. Overall, a great experience.
Service was excellent from start to finish. I ate with a group of five- when I walked in three of the group were already seated with water glasses, and the server had water ready for me and the last person the moment we sat down. Food was yummy and seemed well priced (compared to prices in Chicago/Central Illinois). Bacon was perfectly crispy. French Toast was also good. I tried my friends skillet- they don't skimp on the veggies, meat, and cheese (lots of cheese especially). We arrived at about 9:20am and were out of the restaurant in under 40 minutes. Overall I was inpressed!
A classic little family diner. The food is consistently good and the prices are too low. You won't find a better value on the interstate for a long stretch. We frequently stop here while headed to northern Wisconsin. The kids love the food options and looking at all the pioneer themed decor.
